VPAT Shows a Strong Foundation

We’ve officially completed a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) assessment for SafeGuard mobile based on WCAG 2.1 AA and WCAG 2.2 AA criteria. Our assessment reflects a strong accessibility foundation with no critical blockers, consistent screen-reader support, high-contrast UI design, and full compatibility with large-text accessibility settings.

The short version is simple: for a fast-evolving platform, SafeGuard is performing at the very top of the expected accessibility range.

Built on a Strong Accessibility Framework

This assessment gave VigiLife a clear, structured view of where SafeGuard stands today. The results reveal a product built with intention, care, and long-term accessibility in mind.

The VPAT shows:

  • Full support for every high-risk accessibility category
  • A strong number of “supports” across the WCAG A/AA criteria
  • A design and engineering approach that already aligns with enterprise expectations
  • No critical accessibility issues

For customers evaluating SafeGuard during procurement, this means you’re reviewing a product with a mature foundation and clear evidence of accessibility-supporting design.

Apps can struggle with basic accessibility fundamentals like labeling, focus handling, or screen-reader compatibility. SafeGuard shows none of the typical pitfalls.

Enterprise-Ready for Accessibility Reviews

Universities, large enterprises, and public-sector organizations expect digital tools to meet clear accessibility benchmarks, integrate smoothly into diverse learning and working environments, and support employees and students with a wide range of needs. Our VPAT reflects that SafeGuard is aligned with those expectations.

The assessment highlights:

  • Clear, transparent documentation of our accessibility posture
  • Strong conformance across key WCAG A/AA criteria
  • An intentional process for ongoing accessibility improvements as the platform evolves

SafeGuard already includes features like scalable text, high-contrast design, robust screen-reader support, consistent navigation patterns, and accessible authentication. These are the elements university teams look for when determining whether a platform can be used confidently across campus communities.

What This Means Going Forward

This VPAT confirms that SafeGuard is on a strong accessibility trajectory, already performing at a level often associated with solutions much further along in their product lifecycle. Just as important, it gives us a clear roadmap for continuing to strengthen accessibility as the platform evolves.

Accessibility isn’t a one-time project. It’s an ongoing commitment to the workers and safety leaders who rely on SafeGuard every day. This assessment reinforces that we’re building the product with everyone in mind, with documented opportunities for improvement and engineering work already underway.
